com), the largest venue of its kind in the Midwest, is seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious general manager to help us operate and expand our business.
Based in Ottawa, OH, Gilboa is widely known as a destination scuba location featuring incredibly clear water and many underwater attractions in our renowned 14-acre quarry.
In addition to our scuba quarry, we are soon to open an RV Park on the property.
The owners of the scuba venue see opportunity everywhere we look and we need help from a professional with a commitment to operational excellence and the tenacity to help us grow.
In addition to general management skills and a working knowledge of scuba diving, RV park and entertainment/hospitality venue management experience, preferably at an outdoor entertainment venue, is strongly preferred.
Basic construction and mechanical knowledge to understand the many projects underway on the property and the ability to manage people and get along with customers is a must.
Qualifications Experience in hospitality, preferably outdoor entertainment/adventure desired.
Management and Customer Service experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and get the best out of a team of full and part-time/seasonal employees.
Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting Construction knowledge Effective multi-tasking as a core skill set.
An entrepreneurial mindset with relentless execution and a process-driven orientation.
Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to the team to complete the many construction, customer entertainment-related, and operational projects currently underway and planned.
Manage operations and finances of the business.
Recruit and train new hires.
Creatively attract seasonal and year-round staff.
Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests.
Record processes in all facets of the business.
Report to ownership in a succinct and timely manner.
